Visiting Our Museum

We are so happy you are interested in visiting our museum. Since we are a team of volunteers we are open to the public for limited hours. For the fall and winter we are open on Saturdays from 2:00 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. However, we are open by appointment. If you are visiting in town and would like to see the house, enjoy an exhibit or use the research library please email us or call us to make an appointment.

Admission Fees

Jillson House Museum hosts workshops, presentations, discussions, social events and art exhibits. Almost all of our programs are free. For special events and programs where we serve food and beverages, or require materials for the project, additional costs may apply. We try our hardest to make our admission affordable, as we want everyone to be able to experience the wonders behind our Museum.

Getting Here & Staying

We are conveniently located in the heart of Eastern CT. If you are planning on driving here, and don't use GPS, then follow the directions below. If you need an overnight stay there are two hotels nearby, Graduate Storrs or the Inn On Storrs. We are located on Main Street, across from the famous Frog Bridge, Garden on the Bridge and the Jillson Green, home of the Shaboo Stage.

Directions: Take Rt. 84 East from Hartford. Merge onto Rt. 384 East. At the end of the highway, stay right onto Rt. 6. At the intersection of Rt. 66 and Main St., Willimantic (there is a Burger King and a gas station), stay right and merge onto Main St. Go about a mile and take a left into the Community Center parking lot and then an immediate right into our parking lot.
